I ordered this Shade Replacement Canopy for its name. I lost 2 of three huge spruce trees in my yard. Meanwhile we have now got 90” heat while I am trying to rehab the sudden parched weedy dirt whey used to call home. This is my first attempt at stringingsomethin like a Sail for shade, really, for any purpose. It was surprisingly simple, more than I thought The canopy I ordered is the green shade which is sparkly in it synthetic woven fabric. The product I bought as 12ftx12ft arrived as 9.5ftx9.5ft, they said they sent it wrong and they would send a new one, and it arrived again in 9.5ftx9.5ft dimensions. As summer approaches and the temperature outside begins to rise, you start to water your plants more. But have you thought of putting “sun screen” on your plants!! ---- Provide shade cloth to cover your plants as a shelter, this will save you water and energy as well as make your plants grow faster and be healthier.

I'm pretty pleased with this shade. It's plenty big enough to provide lots more shade to my yard. I had kind of hoped that even at 70%, it would be a little tighter weave to block a little more light, but i think the dark color helps to block more light, and it seems to absorb some of the heat from the sun, too, so it doesn't get as warm as some others might. My only concern is that with the dark color absorbing more light that it might not last as long due to possibly becoming more brittle faster. Time will tell, but for now, a big help in the summer.. This tarp works great to filter our hot and very bright Arizona sun. We have to very large German Shepards dogs that have a huge pen where they like to relax and play during the day. Half of their pen is shaded with heavy duty tarp. During the hot sunny days they lose half their space. We installed tis tarp on the other half and it works great as an additional shaded area for our furry kids. It really does cut down te heat considerably. This tarp will work for just about any area you want shaded. I wish all our 5 acres were covered in this material.
