Beautiful chairs! They look pretty close to the photos. The only real difference is that in person, the metal appears to be a more dark brass-like color (as opposed to being a basic gold, like it appears in the photos.) However, my biggest complaint is that they came with NOTHING labeled and no actual instructions. Only 1 paper with pictures of all the screws was included. But considering that the screws came all together in 1 (unlabeled) bag- it was very difficult deciphering which screw was which. So, putting the first chair together was quite the task and took at least few hours. Having to guess which screw matched up with what piece of the chair was frustrating. After a lot of trial and error, I was able to complete the 1st chair… following that, the other 2 chairs were pretty easy to assemble, since I had deciphered the puzzle while building the 1st one! I was looking for a lower profile stool that still had good back support and these were it! They are cushy and soft and supportive. They were the perfect color as well. My only wish is that they had foot rests on the sides as well, but that's because I'm used to that now. One cushion has a small gouge that would have split more as we sat on it, so I requested a replacement and Wayfiar was so quick to respond! We had a replacement within the week. These are great and very comfortable! If I had one criticism it would be to ignore the instructions when it says to tighten the legs to the foot rail to 100%. Definitely put all screws in (legs to seat and legs to foot rail) at 50%, then align and tighten the legs to the seat to 100% BEFORE you tighten the foot rail..otherwise you will not be able to align the chair legs in a way that minimizes the gaps between the parts, creating pinch points for fingers when scooting in your chair.
