Seems pretty sturdy. Assembly took 2 hours because of the amount of screws. I was able to assemble by myself, but there were a couple of moments where it was a balancing act and I could have used an extra set of hands. It was hard to tell from the photos, but the white one has a faux leather material on the front of the fabric drawers, which is nice. It arrived quickly and wasn't missing any pieces. I love this rod! It is made of a strong black metal iron making it very sturdy. It feels good to the touch. I needed a rod that could be hung on a slanted wall and the design allows for it to be hung at any angle. I think it looks amazing! I loved it so much I bought 3! Bought this as a temporary solution while we waited for our furniture to be delivered in a cross country move. Am happy with the amount of clothing you can hang. The wire rack on the bottom is not very strong/sturdy. Assembly was a little frustrating due to having to push in the buttons while trying to slide piping together- a recipe for pinched fingers..
