I have never had a batch disposal before. I have always had the traditional ones that require a switch to turn on. The only real issue (and its not much of one) is with how our sink is in the kitchen island there isn't a good spot to set the plunger when not in use other than in the sink itself. It is powerful and I am really happy how well it does its job. There is no flap that covers the opening to the drain like on traditional disposals. I thought this would be an issue having it open and silverware falling in. With our drain off to the right it really has not been a problem. Although I did have a fork fall into it the fact that the disposals "neck" between the sink and the bottom is long so the fork never fully fell into the disposal it just stood straight up. Also not having that flap covering the disposal makes it much easier to see at a glance if anything has made its way in that should be there. It is noisy but not bad, just as I expected as from traditional. I like the safety of it not turning on unless the plunger is in. We have young kiddos. Just makes me feel better. I warred with getting these or the pedestal base, but due to replacing a bathtub with a unique plumbing layout, the feet were the best option if I needed to have my drain assembly facing the room. This was a breeze to apply. Simply shook the container to mix the contents and then applied with a paint roller. Avoided work during direct sunlight hours. Re-applied until the container was empty. This durable brass-color soap dispenser makes a wonderful replacement for most countertop liquid soap pumps. Each pump delivers 2ccs of fluid, and this pump works with soap, lotion, and much more! The thread size is 28/400 and fits many standard soap pumps. The thread diameter is approx 1-1/16 inches. You can check if your threads match by using a standard soda bottle cap. If the soda cap fits your dispenser, this replacement pump will work. Please note that this will not work as a replacement for a built-in dispenser, such as one mounted onto a stainless steel sink.
