The glass is surprisingly thick and beautiful. The handles and tracks are sturdy and thick enough. It came unbroken (better than the toilet I ordered last month!) and the pieces are all here. I'm debating whether to tackle this myself or hire a handyman. But it looks beautiful and I'm afraid any issues will be my own installation mistakes from here on. Just put it up. Did it almost all myself,and as a first timer. Just needed my 13 year old to screw the wheels into the 2nd door while I held it up. Instructions suck of course, but I watched a couple videos by people putting in similar ones. Made a few minor mistakes along the way, but all were fixable. Ended up looking great, and fitting PERFECTLY. Just had to measure 5 times and cut... twice in some cases. But always started conservative. You DEFINITELY need a power cutting tool, not a hacksaw, on the top bar. I bought steel cutting discs for my grinder and even that took 3 batter charges. I tried a hacksaw for a few minutes and it hardly made a notch in it. That would take all week. Here's a tip...if any risk of missing the wood studs, add more wood in the wall before tiling. This double sliding door is one giant heavy beast, probably because of the 14” thick 2 glass door panels and the heavy duty hardware. It’s a beautiful unit but I really didn’t think it through. My shower is a fiberglass shell and because my house is over 100 years old, we don’t know yet if there are intact studs behind the shell. kit# 2 luxury shower surrounds for the DIY enthusiast in pre-cut kits for common shower wall sizes. These panels are lightweight, easy to carry, cut, and fabricate. Cutting can be done with a skill saw, angle grinder, jigsaw, etc. To fabricate you can use a Dremel tool, miter, etc. We suggest using Loctite power grab ultimate adhesive or boss 125 adhesive to adhere panels to the walls but compatibility to the other substrates might need testing. We suggest using 100% clear silicone to glue the trim to the panels. We suggest applying the adhesive to the panel, applying circle blobs of caulking about 6”-8” apart throughout the sheet. We also suggest applying 100% silicone, about a ¼” continuous bead around the panel outside edges to ensure a good edge seal and prevent moisture or debris from getting behind the panel.

I love the modern look and floating style. The instructions were subpar, omitting written language in favor of images, arrows, and numbers on the cabinet base instructions. I’m handy with tools and was able to modify a few things to make it work. Firstly, pieces 4-8 have an end with larger holes. These holes go against pieces 1 and 2. I wish the instructions had said that! Second, the hangers did not work in the ore-drilled hole location. I had to move them toward the front of the cabinet and loosen the hanger before screwing them to the cabinet. That was the only way to get the cabinet pulled in close to the wall. Third, I wanted the unit mounted to studs so I added a couple holes in the top strap where the studs were. I hate drywall anchors, especially the cheap ones included in the kit. If you’re going to use drywall anchors, you’re better off using the screw-in type or toggles. Lastly, FYI the drain pipe kit that comes with the sink is 1-1/4” flexible pipe.. Hallie. Raleigh, NC. I have one of those bathrooms reminiscent of the 1990s despite my home being built in the early 2000s. Big garden tub that never gets used with a stall shower next to it. The shower was so gross. Metal all rotted, difficult to slide the door. I would love to redo the bathroom entirely, but I thought let's just try a new door to start. It truly has refreshed the bathroom so much. I wish I could figure out how the heck to replace/get rid of the half glass wall but that'll have to come next. I did have to get a height that was just a smidge too big too, as my measurement wasn't found anywhere. These wall mount sinks look great and stand up well. We have ordered several for different projects. This one mounts to the wall with large screws through the back of the sink so make sure you have blocking in your wall as the holes do not line up with the studs.. K. Dauphin Island, AL.
