So I drilled a two by four into the wall studs.Then attached the rod with longer sturdier screws. Ones supplied were awful and stripped before they became flush to the surface. An impressively polished and sturdy pole that has some heft. We used it as a ballet barre for pointe shoe fittings in our business. I could not be happier with the finished product. We had to trim the bar ever so slightly with a miter saw, but with the right blade (non-ferrous), we had no problem. While not employed to hang clothes, it would fulfill that purpose easily.
