Nice and large but would not use for more than two cats. Very easy to assemble. The stainless steel bottom is somewhat thin. Was hoping for a heavier pan. However, the stainless steel will prevent the odor that occurs with plastic bottoms. While it does help with the scatter of litter, some litter will still come out the front opening. This should be expected. No way to prevent this completely. Started out without top off so cats could adjust. Will add top later and see how they do. Some cats do not like enclosed litter boxes.
