Nice and large but would not use for more than two cats. Very easy to assemble. The stainless steel bottom is somewhat thin. Was hoping for a heavier pan. However, the stainless steel will prevent the odor that occurs with plastic bottoms. While it does help with the scatter of litter, some litter will still come out the front opening. This should be expected. No way to prevent this completely. Started out without top off so cats could adjust. Will add top later and see how they do. Some cats do not like enclosed litter boxes. The wood is strong enough for indoor but I don’t think it would last long outside in the elements. I didn’t use the roofing material that came with it since I have it inside the house. The box is truly extra large. One of my cats is 20 lbs, long and fluffy (big furry tail) and she fits fine with room to turn around. The walls are high enough to catch anything if they lift but low enough where they don't feel trapped and scared to enter. I left one of their old boxes next to the new one just in case! They've been using both. I put a 28 lb. Box of litter (Slide purple multi-cat) and it doesnt go all over the place because of the walls and the step to get out. I also have a short step in front of the box because it is a high entrance. Not that they couldn't jump in...just spoiled!
