This is the quietest range hood I have ever used with an unique design. The installation is straight forward for most with video tutorial online that's readily available. I went with a professional installation. This range hood is rated at 1100cfm and the unique design has worked very well. My home no longer smells even when I deep fry. I did two modifications for my installation. I went with a Zephyr 6"-8" duct increaser. The reason I did this is because the range hood is rated over 1000cfm. This might not be necessary but it's a choice I made for myself because of the rated CFM. My installation required a 4" spacer piece. I used 6" 10-32 fine thread screws to secure my upper cabinet to the range hood to make up the 4" spacer difference. This is not necessary according to Fotile but I went the extra mile for $13 more in screws, bolts, and washers. So far I am very satisfied with how quiet and powerful it is. I havent been so lucky in my house. Ive only ever had an over the range microwave fan system. When our house flooded I had the opportunity to upgrade our kitchen and I jumped on getting a real hood for my range. It has been amazing! I absolutely love it, it has been installed for just over three months. I use it almost every single time I turn on my stove range. It is quiet enough for home use and extremely strong. It pulls all of the smoke, steam, and smell smells from the air efficiently, without sucking the air-conditioning out of the whole house.
