Now this is a heavy umbrella base! Someone said “get the heaviest one you can find”. My husband was not happy with me but that umbrella does not move in this base! I’m not sure how easy the wheels are for transport because I wouldn’t be able to tilt this thing back to use them (on one side). I love the simplicity and low profile of this patio umbrella base stand! It says it’s 40 lbs. but it feels much heavier than that! It was extremely easy to assemble, five minutes! This umbrella is of unbelievable quality. Didn’t expect it to be so heavy duty. We had no problem with the sand bags; you just have to use some common sense when you lift a bag filled with sand.
