Now this is a heavy umbrella base! Someone said “get the heaviest one you can find”. My husband was not happy with me but that umbrella does not move in this base! I’m not sure how easy the wheels are for transport because I wouldn’t be able to tilt this thing back to use them (on one side). Love it! It is heavy, as it says it is, and doesn't require filling with sand or water which is nice. The wheels on the one side make it easier to move when on a smooth surface (otherwise I just pick it up entirely). I love that it comes with 3 fillers to allow it to fit from a small to a large pole, great idea and design! The wheel on the side is nice to tighten it down to the pole so it stays put easily. The US Weight 80 Pound Free Standing Umbrella Base is crafted with a high-density polyethylene shell with UV protection that will not dent or fade, and can withstand the elements in any weather climate. This heavy and stable base was prefilled with 80 pounds of high-strength concrete. Easily transport and set up the base with the removable wheel on the bottom and hand grips for easier mobility. The 20.5" diameter base features a 14" high stem that accommodates poles from 1 ½" through 2" thick. Inside the stem is a plastic post protector for the umbrella to rest on instead of a screw leaving the pole undamaged. The stem features two knobs made of polypropylene that tighten the umbrella securely in place for added stability and support. All of the steel components are made of grade 304 stainless steel. Grade 304 stainless steel is also used in aerospace engineering and surgical instruments.
