My cats took to this immediately, from the time I had the pieces all over the floor, to the time it was built. I like how nice it looks in the house. I bought this gray wood and the darker wood version. It was fairly easy to build, especially if you use a power screw driver. There were a couple of places I had to drill the holes a little deeper to get the screws in, but I’m not very strong. The one thing t had trouble with is the bigger wood pieces had black plastic pieces on the corners. Cat Villa is very well made, nice looking. My Persian is 9 months old. She wanted to explore and help us build it. My son and myself built it together, you really need 2 people when it comes to installing the glass doors. The glass doors were not easy to adjust to get the lock at the bottom of the glass door to lock into the grove for the lock latch to fit into the grove. It has instructions but they are not the greatest. Also some of the stickers number were missing from panels and some of the stickers were placed on the wrong panels. So you have to have patience and really pay attention to the placement of the screw holes. You might want to have some coffee or beer when you build it. My Persian cat loves it.
