This is a frameless shower door meaning it has frame left and right and bottom except the top. As a result, the frame prevents water from splashing out of the shower door and leaks. This double sliding door is one giant heavy beast, probably because of the 14” thick 2 glass door panels and the heavy duty hardware. It’s a beautiful unit but I really didn’t think it through. My shower is a fiberglass shell and because my house is over 100 years old, we don’t know yet if there are intact studs behind the shell.
