Per my carpenter, these were convenient, but required a tremendous of finesse and adjustments at every miter joint to look right. Quality glue (PL Premium) and a solid substrate that will not move (a grid of 1x3's glued and screwed to ceiling joists) are essential for stability. Overall "a wash" in terms of time and expense compared to having full boxes and mouldings constructed the old fashioned way. For the curved bay windows straight pieces needed to be hollowed out, bent, and carefully glued and tacked in place under high tension. I like the light colored wood. Figuring out the pattern was a bit tricky. Things went well until the last couple of squares. The pattern was off and the tabs had a straight edge rather than rounded so they did not go together as nicely as the other packages. I need to order a few more packages and I am hoping the ones that are not a perfect fit can be hidden under a chair or couch.
