The sink that I used them on, was 31" from the floor, so the escutcheon needed to go farther than the chromed legs until it was only covering the top adapter. This mattress is used when we have guest as well. My mom slept on it and she gave her stamp of approval. Believe me when I say that my Mom would let me know if she didn't like it. My dad has also slept on it a few times and he also likes it but would of liked a more firmer mattresses (he is strange). Overall it is a very good mattress. Have not installed this yet, but upon unpacking I am very satisfied with the construction and weight of this product. Needed something that would flip up and be out of the way and not made of wood.
