I bought 2 stools. Putting them together was not difficult but a bit tedious. And of course the second unit went much easier. I was surprised at the size of the seat. I read so many reviews where people bought 15 3/4 inch, 16 inch diameter seats, and found them uncomfortable. When I found these stools had an 18 inch diameter, I said....Perfect. The seat IS perfect. Very comfortable. That includes the seat back. I have lower back issues and the cushion on the seat back is a great fit. The stools have a good weight and feel solid.
