I purchased the LG LDTS5552S dishwasher and have experienced a persistent chemical odor since the beginning of ownership. The smell is difficult to describe precisely, but it resembles heated rubber, vinyl, petroleum products, or synthetic plastic. The odor becomes stronger as the dishwasher heats up and appears to be emitted from the lower vent area. The problem occurs even during normal operation without using the High Temp or Extra Dry settings. Over the past year I have tried numerous troubleshooting steps, including cleaning the filters repeatedly, running cycles without detergent, using dishwasher cleaning cycles, and removing additional plastic accessories from inside the machine. None of these actions resolved the issue. The dishes themselves do not retain the odor, but the heated air emitted by the dishwasher does. The smell is strong enough to travel beyond the kitchen and can sometimes be noticed on the second floor of the house. After more than a year of trying to live with this issue, I have stopped using the dishwasher altogether and returned to washing dishes by hand because I am not comfortable having my family continuously exposed to the odor. What concerns me most is that this odor appears whenever the appliance is heated, suggesting that materials inside the unit may be releasing volatile compounds into the air. I do not know whether LG has evaluated the long-term impact of breathing these emissions during routine daily use, but I believe this is a legitimate concern that deserves attention. I am disappointed because otherwise the dishwasher performs well. If LG is aware of this issue or has a solution, I would genuinely appreciate a response. There are also some shelves that you can use for other items. I paid for the refrigerator to be installed, but when it was delivered there was no mention of installing my Refrigerator. The refrigerator sat in my garage for about 3 weeks and no one called me about installing my refrigerator. I did call to schedule installation, but no one called me to make an appointment. I even paid 50 to have the old refrigerator removed. My son is the person who installed the refrigerator for me. It took him several hours to install as he had to remove the doors to make it fit. The black stainless steel runs off though at the edges of the doors and the water pitcher is nicely hidden behind the door but you have to jimmy it to reach the sensors so it won’t refill every time Otherwise it’s a great looking and sensible fridge especially with the flex.. I absolutely love everything about our new slide in range which we purchased in Dec 2025. We had a Samsung prior to the new one and enjoyed it but this one is supreme. In particular I love the light up dials when the burners are turned on. The oven camera is a novelty, but we rarely use it. The wi fi technology is a treat. We can activate the oven when away from the house and monitor and control cook modes, temps and cook times. The electronic display is super convenient and easy to use. I’ve read reviews that Samsung should have made the digital clock visible at all times. The wi fi feature must be on and the clock will display 24/7. It has a very modern sleek design and we are so pleased with it. The one minor complaint is the narrow grove on the front of the cook top is a very minor irritant to keep clean. It has a round silicone strip in it. You get used to in though. Overall we love this and purchased the extra warranty. Love the dials on and display on the front so much better than the back display models. Preheats super quick and temp is consistent. Would definitely purchase this again and highly recommend. Also love the alerts that come to my phone when burners are turned on, preheating done and cooking completed. I can also see if and burners have been left on when away from the house.
