We totally love the new hallway doors! They have replaced 1980s louver doors and make the entry now feel so contemporary and up-to-date. Yes, we relied on our local contractor to install them, as they needed to be trimmed to fit the existing height requirement. The door looks nice and works well overall. One thing to note if you’re installing it in a frame with a traditional door stop built into the jamb, it may have trouble closing properly. Installation wasn’t too difficult, but make sure to read the instructions thoroughly before starting. They are really pretty, haven’t fully assembled the track or hung them yet (because like other reviews state, the instructions are lacking). Assembling the doors was straightforward but you do have to be really careful with them because the integrity of the planks seems to struggle when too much pressure is applied. I had a couple of boards split a bit but I don’t think it will be an issue long term since they aren’t large cracks. This door features a 2-panel design on 1-3/8" pine. The panels are stacked in a traditional Shaker style. The door comes in a variety of heights and widths to suit almost any space in your home. The primed surface still needs to be properly prepared with light sanding before adding paint. The Bifold is shown with brass hinges but is now sold with white hinges only.

Aesthetically the bifold door is absolutely beautiful. Its heavy and well made. However, I do not like the placement of the knob as it is somewhat difficult to open without putting your hand towards the top bend of the door to help open it.
