Well made, burns well and almost smokeless depending on the wood you burn. Makes for an enjoyable fire. We have used it twice now and each time it worked well. No more hair and clothes smelling of smoke. Highly recommended although I have deducted 1 star because the supplied is falling apart after 1 month. Where the mesh part is joined to the solid part is separating. A more sturdier cover would be great. We love this! My husband assembled it, easy directions. We really like the style since it's not the typical style of a firepit. It's large, holds quite a bit of wood. My husband welds, so he made a custom fireplace grate that fits perfect inside so that the wood sits higher up, not resting on the base plate of the firepit. He placed cement pads underneath to slightly elevate, also to protect the travertine should we decide to move it closer. We live in Arizona, so it will be used frequently. Our fire pit is suitable for the garden, front yard, back yard, poolside, etc. It will not affect the tile floor its placed over. The spark screen and the fire poker keep you safe when use. This fire pit has surprised us. We’ve had it for almost 2 years and though we don’t use it very often, it has stayed outside most of that time. It’s fairly lightweight so it’s easy to assume when you get it that it’s lower quality. But I have one that is much heavier than this one that I got about the same time, and that one is totally rusted out.
