Tom Caldwell created a light profile for this lamp and wrapped a portion of the stem near the base in jute rope. The stacked base, the rings that flank the rope, the long thin stem, and the finial are in an antique brass finish. The off-white linen shade is a pale element on the dressy console lamp that was designed to be a decorative and functional accent in a space.

The table lamp looks as if it is made of one material in three distinctive finishes but the base is made of wood while the other elements on the ivory table lamp are made of wrought iron and brass in antique brass and gold finishes. The shape of the oval shade with its painted trim is a design detail worth noting.
