This is a nice piece and looks like the picture. However, be warned, this is a very complicated DIY assembly. I have lots of experience in that area and generally enjoy assembly and this took me 4-5 hours to assemble. This traditional looking sideboard with adjustable shelves makes a great storage unit for kitchens, living rooms and entryways. It is made of MDF with a wide countertop that is water and moisture resistant and features 4 legs and a center support leg that can hold up to 275 pounds. The two drawers feature metal glides for easy maneuverability, and the cabinets below have adjustable shelves on the inside for easy storage of dishes, tablecloths and utensils, and top space for frequently used items and decorative accessories.

I’m very happy with it. It took a bit of time, but I was slow and cautious and deliberate, and I would say it went together quite easily. There are a couple of little white scuff areas that I need to clean up. There is a gap of maybe a half inch between the two doors on the left. Ideally they would meet. It doesn’t bother me too badly because it still looks black. Hopefully the surface will hold up overtime. This ended up being perfect for the space and a good deal for the price. Comes in two heavy boxes, but I had a hand truck to move them from the sidewalk to the kitchen, so I could by manage myself. I also put it together by myself, and it took a hot minute (multiple hours....hard to measure because I took mental breaks), but it wasn't hard. The pieces were all there, it wasn't confusing, just predictably tedious. Worth every second to gain the extra drawers and cabinet space. If i had a complaint, it's the the backside looks like exactly what it is (just the cheap panel), but it's no different than pictured plus it's where the barstools go anyway if you're worried about it. This kitchen island from the drop top to the trashcan is wonderful to have in the kitchen. It has given me extras space to work on and I love all my pantry stuff right at my fingertips. It came well packed. It did take the whole afternoon to put it together. The only issue was the hole for the dowels didnt line up most of the time. They were off just enough for some frustration.
