I should have paid more attention to the dimensions. 27 inches high is very low. I wish it were at least 36 inches high. The cushions are quite firm. I wanted style and it is stylish. It's just not comfortable. It's hard to describe the fabric. If you rub it in one direction it feels a little rough. If you rub it in the opposite direction it feels smooth.
