My 12-year-old daughter loves the bed. I paid someone to assemble it, and it took approximately two hours. The bed is very sturdy once it’s anchored to the wall. My daughter is only 5’6”, and she bumps her head quite often underneath the bed. The ladder is also a bit uncomfortable to climb, even though it comes with padded steps. Overall my son loves it and this is what he’s been wanting for a couple months now. There were a little bit of confusion on the beginning steps only because you have to really pay attention to the whole positions. After you get past that part, it’s really easy. I put this together by myself, but one person or two would be better because sometimes you need help lifting something. Assembly wasn't to difficult, but did take about 4 hours to put it together by myself. Hardest part was getting the bed slats that go under the mattress to line up with both sides of the frame to go into the holes, but once you figure it out it's smooth sailing. Overall, very solid and sturdy. Stairs are a nice touch over a ladder and the little shelf cubbies make a good place for small stuff. The space underneath is a perfect fit for a 78" couch. Arrived in 3 separate boxes (the heaviest two at about 100 lbs), so be prepared for that. Assembly took about 4 hours from start to finish, so it's a real project. Did run into a few issues during construction. Two of the holes (right next to each other) were drilled too large, had to use washers so the screw wouldn't go through the hole. Would have been a hassle if I didn't have the part handy. Also, there was some damage... A bunch scratches, and the soft headboard had a pretty deep hole in the bottom. All that being said, the design is very solid. Tons of storage space, feels sturdy. Built in LED lights and plugs are a nice touch. Dimensions seem as advertised (though the listing said a 6" mattress works, and that feels a little thick for the 10" rail). In the photo I have a 5" mattress and a 2" topper, and I'll need ti install something additional on top of the rail for safety.. Anonymous. Fri Jun 26 2026
