I like the look of it and the veneers look realistic. There are lots of pieces so don't plan on it being a quick build. I did on my own with no assistance. Pretty good instructions -- I did miss the strip that covers the seem of the 2 flimsy panels that go across the back of the lower cabinet so watch for that. There are no extra screws/fasteners so keep track of your parts. I found it odd that there were no covers for the shelf screws that are very visible, so I covered them with small brown felt chair leg pads. Brown contact paper would be better.. Jayne. Columbus, OH. Looks great, I put it together by myself, although it probably took 4 hours. Could have used slightly better instructions on the glides (you take them apart and install each piece individually) and on the back wall insert (I installed backwards and only realized it when I was done that the finished side was on the inside). I am happy with it, the 4 stars is because there really isn't room for the mouse next to the keyboard tray - it fits, but if you're active with your mouse, it's uncomfortable, so I end up moving the mouse to the desk.
