This is heavy metal! See how thick the lid is? I have some other cheap gun safes but those are like tin-can to this one. It is solid heavy, 12 gauge steel I guess? Surprised for this price. Didn't realize it required assembly until it got here. Probably my fault for not reading carefully. It's a decent storage locker, but the gun rests are not great and isn't quite a sturdy as I hoped for from the pics, but it will do.
