The ad description shows a picture of an actual plug which is what I wanted. The phone plugs were there but no three prong plug. I guess I did not read the description well enough but the picture of a three prong plug made me believe it was there. So my husband ordered a flat plug system and cut into the small opening and installed it. Took out the round one that it came with and now it works better. Absolutely love the end table but took off one star due to the difficulty of putting it together. Tons of parts and confusing directions. Also the back isn’t finished and looks cheap looking with exposed screws…not everyone places furniture where back is hidden. It would be nice if the back of the end table was finished for nicer appearance. Our end tables back is exposed and we bought trim to cover & hide the screws. I love this bedside table for our small guest bedroom at our summer cottage. For the small room it is just the right size and the gray color is perfect with my light gray walls. As other reviewers stated, just be careful when peeling the caution sticker off. Use a hairdryer’s and slowly and carefully peel it off to avoid ripping off the paint.
