I love this counter depth refrigerator. We received it a few weeks later than originally scheduled, but it was better than not getting it at all. Thanks goodness for Wayfair! I couldn’t order it anywhere without waiting over 5 to 6 months. The inside drawer within the freezer drawer had a small piece broken. But I was able to send a video to the tech and the part was ordered and received. I love the fact that you don’t see fingerprints. This is my first GE appliance; it replaces a Frigidaire model. I like the GE much better because it is quiet and stylish. In addition, I like the LED back light, the separate convertible drawer which I use to keep my avocados, peppers, and cooked turkey fresh. I love the water pitcher on the inside door. I love the app that allows me to control features on the fridge, and it alerts me when the ice maker tray is full. The app also records the ounces of water dispensed; I love it! I saw that some reviewers mentioned that the water in the pitcher is not cold; my water is stone cold. What you may have to do is turn off the autofill feature so that it does not dispense more tap water into the pitcher of cold water before you have consumed it all. We couldn’t be happier with the Café 23.2 cu. ft. Smart Counter-Depth 4-Door French-Door Refrigerator. For a counter-depth model, the capacity is impressively efficient. The smaller 22.4 cubic feet capacity size had me a little hesitant of being large enough, but once we transferred from our larger fridge, it fit everything. I would definitely say the design is thoughtful and allows for maximum storage for its size. The shelving height can be customized. The middle drawer has 4 temperature settings that can be accessed on the drawer itself or the app. The app fully engages users. There are so many customizations in app and some on the touch screen. The option to find meal ideas and send to my phone is fun. The water has an autofill feature which is convenient and great for our bottles. When we were priming the water filter, we noticed we had a range of 17 to 20 ounces for our cup so the sensor fill may be dependant on exact placement of a cup or bottle, but it is still pretty accurate. You can of course fill normally or use the Precise Fill feature and set a precise measurement to fill (100ml, 2 1/3 cup, etc.) and we noticed the accuracy of each pour. You can also scan products to add to a shopping list found in the app and it can also import to instacart. Sometimes the item is not exact for its wording but the photo is. For example, it simply says soft drinks on the shopping list but not the exact soft drink. The photo, however, is accurate. The pass through door is nice for a quick grab, although you do need to shut the door with a little force or the latch won't fully engage and hold. With kids, I worry they wont fully close the door. I do wish this inner handle and latch were made of metal and not plastic. The only other thing I would recommend changing would be an app setting that would allow for a dimming feature of lights between certain hours so late night lighting isn't at full brightness. The back lighting is awesome but it is bright. There are so many features to explore and we have enjoyed incorporating this fridge into our daily routine, because that is exactly what this fridge does.. Lauraj. Tue Apr 28 2026
