A beautiful wall clock that combines the fine texture of wood and paper. Thomson Paper has a clock face made of an unique design paper called Mermaid, named after the ripples of the sea, the home of the mermaid. Gentle, pleasant, and with superb choice of color, designer Yuichi Nara creates a three-dimensional numbers on the Thomson Paper's clock face using the iconic Thomson die-cutting machine, used to manufacture puzzles. The edges of the number outlines stamped out are naturally rounded like a tensed water surface and drop soft shadows into the spaces stamped out. Part of the Lemnos Plywood core collection.

I gulped a little bit before dropping $170 on a wall clock, but the blue color was just what we were looking for to pick up the same tone as our kitchen island. I also liked the 3D "carving" of the numerals into the paper clock face. Once arrived and on the wall, it hits all the right things and looks great. We are very happy with it. Ticka, available in a limited edition of 100 pieces, is a vessel from Ellen’s own imagination based on the same shape as Ulrica’s “snake bowl”. “I wanted to make something of my own, but with a connection to Ulrica’s art. For the tribute collection, I was inspired by the directness of her approach and style. The vessel symbolizes a tree trunk. Gerber isnt as well-known a brand as some others, but when I was shopping for fixtures for a full bathroom, it was carried by a local, highly-respected plumbing supply store, and I wound up choosing them for their design. Now that Im redoing the kitchen, I especially looked for their options. Im glad I did, because it looks great. Its a tad shorter than other similar options, which is a good thing for my application. I have never had a batch disposal before. I have always had the traditional ones that require a switch to turn on. The only real issue (and its not much of one) is with how our sink is in the kitchen island there isn't a good spot to set the plunger when not in use other than in the sink itself. It is powerful and I am really happy how well it does its job. There is no flap that covers the opening to the drain like on traditional disposals. I thought this would be an issue having it open and silverware falling in. With our drain off to the right it really has not been a problem. Although I did have a fork fall into it the fact that the disposals "neck" between the sink and the bottom is long so the fork never fully fell into the disposal it just stood straight up. Also not having that flap covering the disposal makes it much easier to see at a glance if anything has made its way in that should be there. It is noisy but not bad, just as I expected as from traditional. I like the safety of it not turning on unless the plunger is in. We have young kiddos. Just makes me feel better.
