I knocked off a star because when you surface mount the unit the outside rim has exposed holes and screws and didn’t come with a face plate cover- It looks unfinished. I bought two of these mirrors and they look fabulous. Super classy and elegant with a mirrored interior. The door hinge is amazing -- even when you accidentally push too hard on the door, it closest softly. My only complaint is that one box came without the supports for the fourth shelf -- so one of my cabinets has four shelves and one has three. I love this mirror so much. My bathroom design was meant to be a bit theatrical and I wanted some drama with a gilded antique style mirror. I decided upon the silver finish although I was torn between silver and gold. The reason I wouldn’t give five stars is two fold. 1. I checked the dimensions carefully because my bathroom is very small. The mirror is described to be 24 inches in width but it was actually 26.5. My contractor was unsure if he would be able to fit it and for a while we were doubtful. Thankfully Wayfair took accountability and did offer me a discount when I pointed out this dilemma. I hope they update this so no one else has the same issue. There were also some minor cracks perhaps sustained during delivery. I was able to overlook this and didn’t think it was worth it to return since very subtle. 2. I was expecting this from the pictures so no major surprise but I think that for the price the plastic pull tab to open the cabinet could have been better devised. This part feels flimsy and cheap. I’m not sure if it will hold up to time. It would have been perfect if the entire front opened like a standard medicine cabinet instead of just the mirror within the frame. Still worth it in my opinion but it imagine it will bother some buyers who are pickier. This is a beautiful and high quality light up mirrored medicine cabinet! This will be replacing another light up mirror cabinet that I have in our guest bathroom. I can immediately tell the difference in quality. This medicine cabinet's backplate and inside doors are mirrored not aluminum like the other one I have which gives a distorted image. I love how it has an outlet and 2 usb ports on the inside. It comes with 2 glass shelves which again looks much better than the aluminum shelves that I currently have in my medicine cabinet.
