A couple of tiny scuffs/dings/paint cracks and only one small damaged corner that is more noticeable. So for me, I was lucky to have received ALL my pieces and enough hardware, and none of my pieces were in the must-be-replaced category. I think the imperfections are inevitable considering this bed is (while not cheap) still a less expensive product (you get what you pay for!) and it's shipped vs. you picking it up in store.
