It is a very nice shelf but I thought it would be 12” deep for the entire length of the shelf and there is just the middle spot that maybe reach 12” the other part of the shelf are around 8-9” at the most. I spent weeks scouring the internet for something special and unique for my bathroom remodel and passed this one a million times but opened it one day, searched for pics with reviews and found nothing. I took a chance based on pics from manufacturer and WOW! This creates a Japanese screen look in my bathroom making it seem larger than it is. Also looks really good with the ribbon tiles I selected for other walls. I am happy to share pics on my review because more people should use these. You wont be disappointed.
