This deck box is a great size and holds all of our outdoor cushions along with a hammock sling, which gives us plenty of storage without taking up too much space. So far, it has done a great job keeping the bugs and water out, even with it being outside and exposed to the elements. I also really love the spring mechanism on the lid—it makes opening and closing the box much easier and keeps the lid from slamming down. Excellent purchase, just what I wanted. The key is to measure the items you want to put into it before you make the purchase. In this case I did and I got right where I wanted to be size-wise. The box arrived at 36 pounds but the box itself was substantial. The items is not flimsy and most of the installation involved snapping five pieces together. That was a bit tricky and I found that a rubber mallet helped do the job, I’m 68 and in above average shape. I split the installation into parts. The hydraulic lid is a nice feature. I’m very pleased.. Clipper. Chevy Chase, MD. Wed Oct 14 2026
