This is the quietest range hood I have ever used with an unique design. The installation is straight forward for most with video tutorial online that's readily available. I went with a professional installation. This range hood is rated at 1100cfm and the unique design has worked very well. My home no longer smells even when I deep fry. I did two modifications for my installation. I went with a Zephyr 6"-8" duct increaser. The reason I did this is because the range hood is rated over 1000cfm. This might not be necessary but it's a choice I made for myself because of the rated CFM. My installation required a 4" spacer piece. I used 6" 10-32 fine thread screws to secure my upper cabinet to the range hood to make up the 4" spacer difference. This is not necessary according to Fotile but I went the extra mile for $13 more in screws, bolts, and washers. So far I am very satisfied with how quiet and powerful it is. The power on the Fotile range hood is excellent. For most cooking, I stay on the first 2 out of 3 fan settings. For high smoke activities such as seasoning a wok or searing steak, the 3rd settings is more than enough to suck up all the fumes. The fan speeds are all pretty quiet. I absolutely love this hood. The black stainless steel matches my other appliances from another brand perfectly. The fan is quite powerful and the dual led lights are amazingly bright and make cooking on the stovetop so much better. It hasn’t been installed long enough to evaluate the longevity or the efficiency of the filters or how easy they are to clean, but considering their size and placement I don’t foresee any problems.. Great improvement in color & style over previous range hood. Luv the up dated styling. Bottom of cabinet isn't flush so couldn't use easy brackets. Two person install was easy & quick, though. Airflow is strong which explains an expected loud noise level, in high position. Fits great below cabinet. Nice profile. Will be using unducted & want to add charcoal filters for the occasional sautéing & broiler use. The LED lights are bright & make my stove top shine nicely - like showroom quality. I was so excited to receive my GE Cafe Warming Drawer! I have already started using it not only for keeping courses/plates warm, but for proofing our pizza dough.
