I attached an old piece of garden hose and it drips into a floor drain. I like that I can check and/or change settings, fan speed, timer, humidity level and temp etc. from anywhere using the app. The app is self-explanatory and does not require reading an instruction booklet! As far as noise level, not an issue for me in the basement. However, it seems to me to be an acceptable level even if run in living areas.
