Shelves can be installed in two ways. The sides can either be folded down for a completely open shelf, or the can be folded up to create sides to prevent objects from falling off. The shelves have easy installation, simply bend the sides in the direction you want, and then hook them into the support rails. No additional tools needed.

Out of the box, this griddle will NOT fit a Prestige 450, but I found it was easily altered to fit. As it is designed to fit the larger surface area of a Prestige 500, the rear spacer needs 1/4” cut off each side, and a small notch cut (see attached photos). The griddle is also too large front to back, but a couple of self-tapping screws along the back edge and inside the front lip of the barbecue prevent any movement. This griddle is really well made. Being stainless steel, there’s no seasoning needed - just clean with water after use to steam clean any food residue off.
