The "Dove" color is in between tan and gray. I would call it taupe. I have not seen another rug like this. It seems to be made very well and I had no issues with the fringe. Normally I don't like a fringed rug (OCD) but the fringes are sewn onto a kind of wire? so they don't flop around and they don't look like they will fray. If you love jute or sisal look but don't want the smell or the shedding, it's a great alternative. My only knock is that it's very thin, but it's made for outdoors so it would be perfect for a dining room! It's in my guest bath now but I will be moving it to my kitchen. Because it's so flat, it won't be a tripping hazard and I don't think I'll have to worry about stains. I will be purchasing more in other sizes and that says a lot because I'm usually very picky about my rugs. For once I'm happily surprised, not disappointed! Beautiful rug and super thick! I got the 9 x 12 rug and it SHEDS! I read that in reviews, but I guess I didn’t understand the grasp of what that meant, I vacuumed this rug four times and still could vacuum more lol. The carpet fibers also stuck to my brand new vacuum so that was fun cutting out! For the price of the rug, I would expect less shedding. It is a great rug though, and it does not need a rug pad whatsoever because of how thick it is and it vacuums great. Just sheds a lot at first (hopefully!). Also, it measured 4 inches short of being 12 foot so Wayfair gave me a 25 discount which was great! Highly recommend using their customer service if your rug measurements are off.. Anonymous. This rug is beautiful and very soft to walk on. I placed it on a 1/2 inch pad. The color was exactly as pictured and goes perfectly with my blue and ivory furniture.My couch is a bluish gray leather and brings out the blue in the rug.
