I really like these fixtures, but wanted to add one word of caution. Because the decorative links are STEMS rather than chains, "adjusting the length" means using 1 or 2 stems. You are not given that much flexibility in the length. This was hard for us, because we found out that 1 stem made it too high and 2 stems made it too low. (We had a very creative electrician who came up with a solution using brass colored links from another fixture we had ordered. Otherwise, we would have had to return this fixture).. Yuko. This commercial grade downlight is ideal for new construction when specified with a 4" x 2 1/8" square or octagonal J box. It is also conveniently UL Listed for wet conditions only indoor wet locations such as above a shower. For exterior they would need to be installed in damp location such as a covered porch, soffit, etc.. A place where the fixtures would not receive direct saturation.

Honestly I haven’t had the chance to install this yet but I have several friends that have used these before and it didn’t seem to be difficult. I purchased these pendants on the recommendation of a Havenly designer, and I couldn’t be happier with them. I never imagined I could replace the lights over my large kitchen island so affordably, but these pendants completely transformed the space. My previous lights were tiny, underwhelming pendants, and these feel substantial, stylish, and perfectly scaled for a big island. I had an electrician handle the installation to ensure all three hung at exactly the same height, especially since I’m working with a vaulted ceiling that’s angled, and the result looks seamless. One tip: have Windex wipes on hand during assembly. The clear glass version gets dust and fingerprints inside and out very easily, and if you skip cleaning the inside, the lights can look dingy even if the exterior is spotless. The glass balls are large and beautiful, but also very fragile. One of mine arrived broken, but Wayfair’s customer service was excellent and replaced it quickly without any hassle. Overall, these pendants are stunning and make a real statement over the island. They feel high-end and designer-approved, yet don’t break the bank. These are great lights. The adjustable feature for color temperature works very well, and the lights themselves seem to be of good quality.
