We've had this runner on steps + hallway in our multi-level house for a couple of years now. We like it so much we're going to buy the same one for a hallway on a different level. It is mostly tan/brown but has a grey overlay in places as well. So it looks great with both beiges and greys. It has the elegance of a border rug but the middle is mottled, so it doesn't show the scuffs and spills as does a traditional border rug with a solid coloured middle. I have had this rug for over two years and I am finally writing a review! I always like to wait and live with the item to give better feedback and this rug has exceeded my expectations. I ordered this knowing the description said navy and orange even though the product pictures at the time when I ordered it made it look black and tan. I was very happy with the colors when it arrived. We have a dog and a cat and we are sometimes careless about wearing shoes in our house but this has held up wonderfully. I go over it with my rug scrubber every few months and it looks brand new. We also vacuum frequently and it has never shed or shown any kind of wear from that either.
