The Mayflower brought the first group of Pilgrims to North America in 1620. As originally conceived, the expedition included another vessel, the Speedwell, but the latter proved unseaworthy. The Mayflower, about 180 gross tons and carrying 102 passengers, finally got underway from Plymouth, England, on September 16, 1620. The ship was headed for Virginia, where the colonists had been authorized to settle. As a result of stormy weather and navigational errors, the vessel failed to make good its course, and on November 21 the Mayflower rounded the end of Cape Cod and dropped anchor off the site of present-day Provincetown, Massachusetts. No one knows exactly what the ship looked like, but it was probably about 27 m (90 ft) long, had three masts and two decks, and probably weighed about 180 tons.

This is the REAL version of the Venetian Gondola. Fully functional at 14-feet long and beautifully painted in its original color black with white stripe. We also have a 24 and 36 feet long gondola available, upon request. This boat was completely handcrafted and takes about 600-800 hours to build. We still use the traditional method of construction while integrating the highest quality of materials currently available. Strips of red cedars are joined together by hand and then encapsulated in fiberglass bonded in place with epoxy resin then coated with marine vanish. This combination of fiberglass and epoxy is very strong and the wood will be protected for generations. I loved this so much for my STR business I’m going to order another… I rely on customer reviews so I hope these details will help for picky people like me as I consider myself a silk plant snob since most are so fake looking… I have banana trees in my garden so I know what they should look like and this was as good as I hoped for as it’s close enough as far as silk plants go. I was afraid the bananas would look cheesy but they are so cute and realistic enough. The faux brown and yellow random leaves add to the realistic look… I could see in the customer review pics that there were beige colored stripes on the tallest stalk and now that I have it I see they are “supposed” to resemble the dried up fibrous plant stalk but it looked so unrealistic being in thin strips so I peeled them off (see pics right after peeling) thankfully they came off easily and with a little scraping off of the random glue spots with my thumbnail it didn’t damage the faux finish of the stalk. From the bottom of the black pot to the top center leaf it measures 69” so it’s not an overly tall plant but I have a tall planter that I’m putting it in to give it extra height… It did come poorly packaged, its not taped well and part of the box was opened in some areas and some tiny areas of the faux greenbrown was scraped off a bit so I’ll just use some brown and green craft paint to touch up...
