This fit the bill of exactly what I needed. I did not want to mount into my bathroom cabinets, the wall across was both too long of a reach, and also where the towel rack / bathrobe hanger could only go, which left the need for a freestanding toilet paper holder. My bathroom fixtures are all polished chrome and this matches perfectly. I love that it holds one active toilet paper roll and three additional rolls on the back. I buy the six rolls equals one roll and it has no issue fitting. The book/magazine holder is perfect. In the dark , I just reach down and it is right there. My only issue is remembering how I removed the used toilet paper roll as the plastic insert only goes in one way in order to hold. It has taken me a few months to figure out a system to remember how I pulled it out to return it to the same position without having to take the roll down, turn it around and re-insert it correctly. But I finally have it working in one try. It was very easy to assemble. Just make sure it is all screwed in very tightly.
