This box is made of 100% screw construction (no nails or staples). Thick lumber is used with additional supports where it matters.

When we received the planter boxes we were delighted with how they looked. We haave had planter boxes by the steps of our back door for almost 20 years and every few years we need to replace the boxes. In the past the boxes were redwood without any lattice or decorative trim and we never had any comments on how they looked but this year we have had numerous comments on just how beautiful they look. Chair is cedar and looks like the one pictured (good). Not sure what “handcrafted” means but it’s a stretch. Chair was made with a power router (by backsliding Amish?) and only the seating surface is sanded. Very rough surfaces. Came with zinc bolts not appropriate for outdoors. Came mostly assembled and solid. Pre-assembled parts do have coated screws. Reasonably happy but seller should remove Amish and handcrafted from title and send galvanized bolts.. Daniel.
