I made quite a few modifications to make this coop more useful. I used strong magnets across the top so we could reach into the run. We added stair tread to the roost ramp so our ladies didn’t slip around anymore. I’d planned to use a solar door opener to let the gals in and out, but I was one day over the 30 day return window and Wayfair wouldn’t let me return it even for store credit. It didn’t fit despite the online specifications saying it would.. Ashley. US. Tue Aug 11 2026

Was easy enough to put together, alone. It's exactly as pictured. I bought it to give my 5 hens somewhere to stay warm this winter. I did not however stop to think about how large my hens are and they will only get bigger. I should have read specs closer and bought bigger. My hens are one of the biggest breeds. Hopefully they will use it this winter. I covered the run to keep too much sun and rain off them. It's also connected to 2 other large runs. Vickie. Silver Springs, NV. Tue Oct 06 2026

Great starter chicken coop ! Easy instructions 2 people roughly an hour to put together. We decided not to attach the run to the coop as we attached it to our larger chicken run. Overall, we’re very happy with this chicken coop. It took about four hours for one person to put together. It’s a good size for our five hens, looks really nice, and feels sturdy once assembled. The main reason I took off one star is because of the latches. The latches that come with the coop do not feel secure enough to protect the chickens from predators. We didn’t trust that an animal couldn’t get them open, so we purchased stronger latches and replaced the original ones. For something designed to keep chickens safely enclosed, I think better and more secure latches should be included. There were also a couple of spots on the wood pieces for the perching areas where the holes had not been pre-drilled, so we had to drill those ourselves. Other than that, it’s a very nice coop. It looks great, feels solid, and has plenty of room for our five hens. We’re happy with it overall!. Johnna. US. Sun Sep 13 2026

Shipping was on time, we love our chicken coop, I feel it fits 4 chickens comfortably. It did take quite awhile to put together although it was only one person. Took about all day. Smaller than I expected. Peter. Tue May 19 2026

It includes two large egg-laying boxes, each divisible into three separate compartments. Four perches are installed inside the coop to provide ample roosting space for hens. A large removable sliding tray facilitates easy cleaning.

This coop is super cute!!! However it seems to be pretty low quality. The wood is very soft and several of my pieces arrived already split. I would never put 8-10 full size chickens in this, maybe 8-10 bantam size. I’m thinking it will only last a year or two. I just got it to put my baby chicks in so it will work for now.. Anonymous.
