The air in the house definitely retains smells for a shorter time. For me, that's good. I don't want the house smelling like bacon or onions all day. I've also noticed less sinus / respiratory irritation in my family lately as well. It seems to do a much better job than the old 1980s green mesh filters we all know. 100% an improvement!
