Morgan's second wife, Mary, modeled as the mother in this ideal look of summer on the bank of the river Arun in Sussex as a delightful Victorian family on a summer holiday. Rich sentimental childhood adventures akin to "Me Too" were very much to the taste of the rich Victorians. English painter Morgan paid great attention to detail specializing in country life, idyllic scenes of childhood, animals, domestic portraits that were used on calendars and in the advertisements. Morgan was asked to do the portraits of Queen Alexandria and her children then exhibited at London galleries. The authentic stretched canvas replica painting captures the original work's texture, depth of color, and even its subtle brushstrokes, which are applied by hand.
