This worked out well for our needs. Definitely not a one-person assembly job as some pieces either didn't align exactly right or needed someone else to hold pieces together so they could be attached. The holes in the door don't align very well so it's hard to attach a small lock to keep the door from swinging outward. Everything was labeled and the instructions (mostly pictures with directional arrows) were easy to follow enough. If you can assemble Lego sets, the assembly instructions were about the same method. Yes, you need a floor. Do measure the space before buying and cutting (tip - HD will give you one free cut on the giant board. Having it in two pieces makes it much easier to install inside). We also needed a ladder to assemble the roof. It is a bit flimsy though it worked well for us as we installed this in the small space between the house and fence, nestled up against another part of a fence that does not open. Was way easier to put together than I expected from reading other reviews. Also I was able to get every single hole to line up unlike all of the other people too. Maybe thats because Im a female - 37 yr old female who put this together alone. I found not separating the plastic washer part from the row easier to do rather than trying to hold onto the washer and screw I just held the washer next over (see random picture showing what I mean). I havent put the doors on, but dont expect an issue. Im looking forward to how this holds up in Denver, CO. Another thing is there seems to be a clear plastic over all of the metal parts, the manual didnt say if youre supposed to take those off. The product arrives in two long, flat boxes. The packing was sufficient for the most part except for the triangular pieces that are part of the roof. They were dented and scratched, but I didn’t think it was worth my time and trouble to try to have them replaced, so I pounded out the dents with a rubber mallet. The flaws are visible, but not as bad as how they came. Each piece of metal is covered with plastic film that should be removed before assembly, which takes a lot of time and patience, but once removed the metal surfaces are very clean with a good coating. Assembly definitely requires two people and several hours since there are over 300 screws, but once assembled, the structure is very solid. I was impressed with the engineering. All of the screw holes lined up and the instructions/diagrams were easy to follow. I built a wooden deck with 2x6 treated joists and treated plywood for the floor and screwed the base to that. Overall this shed is extremely good for the price. The assembly took a good bit for two of us to put it together. The instructions can be a little difficult to understand at times so really pay attention to what the picture shows. The interior is huge! The headroom is great. Can easily stand up straight and have room to spare. The design has the windows caddie corner from each other, but I didn’t want one facing the house and it was simple to cut the notches for the trusses to fit into. If you want a good shed. I had a professional install this shed and build a base for it. The doors feel really great and overall the shed looks much nicer than I expected. It also withstood two hurricanes quite nicely.
