The price was right and the reviews were good and this piece came well packaged and looks exactly as pictured in person, but I still debated knocking 1 star because a couple of the dowel holes were loose (I added a little wood glue to ensure a tight fit) and the cabinet hinges were slightly fidgety to hang perfectly straight, but I think I'm just too much of a perfectionist sometimes. Note that the only parts of this piece that are solid wood are the trapezoidal legs that go on via 2 dowels and a screw and the cabinet pulls and every panel, door, shelf, etc. is manufactured wood with a thin veneer as the description details imply. I do worry about the longevity of this piece as a result, mostly because I'm worried the screws in manufactured wood could strip over time just from repeated opening/closing of the cabinet doors, but that comes with the territory at this price point and the look is exactly what I was going for, so I'm willing to make an exception from my solid wood preference and roll the dice on this piece.. Came as advertised, had a small issue but the manufacturer was able to resolve. The couch is a bit firm but I'm sure over time it'll even out. The one issue I had was that there were no pre-drilled holes to attach the legs so it wasn't as easy as I'd expect to get them on for a product of at this price.. Mikhail. Framingham, MA.
