Easy to install but I would recommend hard wiring it in. Have an outlet installed that is in the bottom right hand corner of where you want the towel warmer otherwise you will have 3 ft of cable sitting on the floor. I looked at reducing the length of the cable and adding a new plug but the plugs are still more bulky than the original. I ended up hardwiring it in and am very pleased with the result. Love this towel warmer! We ordered a slightly shorter one but decided to return it and go all in. This one is big, but it's actually the perfect size to me. I like this size because my hubby's towel is on top and mine is on bottom, and they don't really overlap lap. I feel like there's ample room for both towels, they each have their spot. It looks beautiful on my wall. I hooked it up to a light switch and it works like a dream. My towel gets toasty... keep in mind I'm not expecting scalding hot so it meets my expectations. When I think of cost spent, this is probably one of the least necessary things. It’s nice to have if you take a shower during the time that is set on your timer but when don’t there isn’t much time to manually have it heat up. Plus for two towels to get much of the heat, it’s hard bc really only two spots for it to get any heat. It works great though and is nice looking. Favorite thing in bathroom is heated floors. Very sturdy and easy to install. We installed ours over where a round doorknob used to be. We still need to add a little wood filler, stains and paint to cover a small bit of the hole in the door at the top of the handle. This went on my interior laundry roommudroom door. Due to humidity and occasional dampness, the old, cheap knobs would become hard to turn. I have issues with arthritis in my hands. This is so easy to use compared to the round knobs.
