I usually don’t write product reviews, but I had to share my experience with this inflatable tent. After a long day of unpacking and setting everything up, I accidentally forgot to loosen the Velcro that was holding my heavy-duty indooroutdoor extension cord tightly wrapped. Because the cord remained coiled during use, it overheated and melted the rubber casing inside the tent. It became so hot that the power shut off due to heat overload, and a cloud of smoke filled the tent. A duffel bag sitting nearby even picked up some melted orange rubber from the cord, and the heat was intense enough to melt the tarp underneath the tent. Despite all that, the tent itself did not suffer any significant damage, which honestly impressed me. I’ll do my best to include photos of everything. Overall, this is an excellent product. It truly functions as a four-season hot tent and does an amazing job retaining heat. I’m definitely not suggesting anyone intentionally test their tent this way — this was purely an accident — but I’m thankful I was in a well-built, reliable tent that helped keep me safe in a potentially dangerous situation.. This is such an upgrade from our 10,000 BTU portable air conditioner. We purchased this Danby because our old a/c unit started blowing hot air. After checking to see if it needed draining, filter cleaning, checking the hose for blockages, etc., we realized it was likely not worth trying to get it repaired. We've bought Danby products before but never a/c units. So far, it's doing a great job. We have it set up in our living room, which counts as two rooms if we were to carpet it and so far, it's keeping the space nice and cool. We live in an apartment, so this works really well. The true test will be how it lasts during some of the summer's longer heat waves, but as we're experiencing mini heat waves right now (that last maybe 2-3 days), I'm happy to say that it's doing a decent job. Oh, and it's super quiet. Our other a/c unit that we have in the bedroom runs a lot louder than this one and is maybe only a year old.
