This is very sturdy and definitely a bit nicer looking than the plastic bases. So giving it four stars for that reason. Only taking away one star because I didn’t really think about how expensive it was going to be to fill this with rocks. It cost us another 200 in rocks to fill it so it is a very expensive umbrella base. If you think about it that way. Also, I had concerns about it safety especially with kids around after it arrived so I ended up buying black bumperspool noodles to put on it for safety reasons so that kind of takes away from the aesthetic look. Don’t purchase!!! I had this delivered on 8/27/2023, I had it installed on the same day. 2 weeks later it does not work. The lights don’t turn on and the hood blower does not turn on. I would not expect this from. $2k item. I called wayfair, they say to call zephyr. I called Zephyr, it took a whole week to get someone on the phone. You have the longest hold times. You ask for a return call know one calls you back. I finally got thru after being on hold for 7 hours. Unbelievable!!! I finally got a technician to call me to ask me , what’s wrong with it”? I told him the message that’s blinking on the hood screen and he asks , so do you need parts ? What ?! How am I supposed to know. Oh my goodness. That’s why I’m calling him, to figure this out. Honestly save your money and your time. I will never purchase from wayfair again. I will update this review, the very helpful technician that is asking me if I need parts is suppose to come to my home tomorrow, therefore I need to miss work to wait for him. If you're not ashamed then you should be. I ordered five of these items and it was a mixture of different kinds of screws, rod thread lengths, and finishes. One type of screw tightened the thing down, the other type did not. I get it that if these cost a dollar each it might warrant the poor quality of the order, but for the price NOT WORTH IT! I looked long and hard for a duct cover that would hide the off center ducting I had because of a new range installation. I need something large enough to span the ducting and create the illusion of being on center if the new 36” range. The cover is heavier gauge stainless steel, thinking it is at least 18 gauge. It will not dent easily and looks like a professional, quality range hood. I have to figure out how to attach it as it is made specifically for Zephyr brand range hoods and came with no additional mounting hardware.
