These flags are made with 2-ply polyester which is the strongest flag material available. Since polyester flags are extremely durable, they are recommended for flying in parts of America with lots of rain and high wind. If you live in a milder part of America, Trinx recommends flying a nylon American flag.

One of the most poignant U.S. flags, the POW/MIA flag is the only flag besides the U.S. flag to fly over the White House. The POW/MIA flag commemorates the sacrifice of American soldiers who are either missing in action, or prisoner's of war. The motto, "You are not forgotten" is emblazoned underneath the profile of Jeffery Heisley, a soldier of the U.S. Marine Corps who was taken as a POW during Vietnam.
